Mexico Photo Diary

It feels so good to be back writing on the blog. This time I share with you my latest trip to Mexico. A trip to many new experiences, which I shared with three of my best friends who accompanied me on this journey after almost a year of preparation.

Our destination was Quintana Roo, a state of Mexico located on the coast, where Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Cancun are located (to mention just a few). We stayed at the incredible Grand Riviera Princess Resort & Spa, where we spent seven days full of sun, beach, incredible food and lots of fun.

In our time outside the hotel, we decided to visit one of the many cenotes that are in Mexico (approximately 8,000 cenotes exist). The Cenote Sagrado Azul Ik'kil is a natural wonder and even more impressive in person (the photos don’t do justice). You can dive in from a platform and swim in its fresh waters. In the same line of aquatic fun, we visited two popular parks, Xel-Ha and Xcaret. Both, full of activities for water and animal lovers. You can swim in underground rivers, snorkel, visit caves, swim with rays… in other words, a great variety of activities for everyone's enjoyment. Last but not least, we went to Chichén Itzá, Mexico's most visited archaeological site. Also, the landmark to one of the new seven wonders of the modern world, the Kukulcán Temple, also known as El Castillo.

Seven days weren’t enough to enjoy Mexico, the people are wonderful and their culture is admirable. Definitely, a beautiful country that I can’t wait to visit again.

If you have visited Mexico, What other places/destinations do you recommend? Lots of love. Until the next post.

Mucho amor. Hasta el próximo post.
