Of course! The number one reason to come to Italy is because of the food. Italian cuisine is characterized by its simplicity in its dishes and its fresh ingredients. You can never go wrong with the classics: pizza Margherita, spaghetti alla carbonara, espresso, and gelato… (Preferably in that order).
Fun fact: To honor the Queen consort of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, the Neapolitan chef Raffaele Esposito created the "Pizza Margherita.” A pizza garnished with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, to represent the national colors of the Italian flag.

¡Por supuesto! La razón número uno para venir a Italia es debido a la comida. La cocina italiana se caracteriza por su sencillez en sus platos y sus ingredientes frescos. No te puedes equivocar con clásicos como: pizza margherita, spaghetti alla carbonara, espresso, y gelato ... (Preferiblemente en ese orden).
Dato curioso: Para honrar a la reina consorte de Italia, Margherita de Saboya, el chef napolitano Raffaele Esposito creó la "Pizza Margherita.” Una pizza adornada con tomates, mozzarella y albahaca, para representar los colores nacionales de la bandera italiana.
