This year I have taken my skincare routine even more seriously, starting with applying sunscreen. Sunscreens or SPF (sun protection factor) help us to prevent ultraviolet rays from affecting our skin, protects us from radiation, sunburns, and reduces the risk of skin cancer. Also, it prevents wrinkles and the loss of elasticity in the skin. Just a few reasons why for me is important to make sure that most of my makeup and beauty products contain SPF in some capacity. As a result, today I'm sharing some of my favorites sunscreen products that over time have become my daily essentials. 

Este año he tomado aun más enserio mi rutina del cuidado de la piel, comenzando por el protector solar. Los protectores solares nos ayudan a prevenir que los rayos ultravioletas afecten nuestra piel, nos protege de radiaciones, reducen el riesgo de cáncer de piel y evitan quemaduras. Además, previenen las arrugas y la pérdida de elasticidad en la piel. Es por eso que ahora me aseguro que la mayoría de mis productos de maquillaje y belleza contengan en alguna capacidad SPF (conocido como FPS, factor de protección solar, en español). Como resultado, hoy les comparto algunos de mis productos favoritos con protección solar que con el tiempo se han vuelto mis indispensables de uso diario.

When it comes to packing I may not be an expert in the matter. I’m a girl that is always planning ahead, I’m the kind of packer that packs too much, just in case I’ll need it. To be fair, as a flight attendant I have to always be ready for any situation that may happen, like having an unexpected layover in snowy Denver or getting stuck in a rooftop pool in Miami. I have realized that with time I always carry with me some “basics” that have come in handy when traveling.

Cuando se trata de empacar, puede que no sea experta en el asunto. Verás, soy el tipo de chica que siempre está planeando con anticipación y empaco demasiado por si acaso lo necesitaré. Como azafata siempre tengo que estar preparada para cualquier situación que pueda suceder, como quedarme varada en Denver rodeada de nieve o quedarme atrapada en la piscina de una azotea en Miami. Me he dado cuenta que con el tiempo siempre llevo conmigo algunos "básicos" que me han sido útiles cuando viajo.

Adoro un buen día en la playa. El sol, la arena y el agua de mar son la combinación perfecta para relajarse y disfrutar del verano. Para esta temporada acudo a una rutina de maquillaje que sea ligera, cómoda y proteja mi piel del clima.  Al momento de empacar mis esenciales de playa, no pueden faltar mis favoritos de belleza.

On the road:  Para un día de sol en la piscina o la playa, siempre aplico protector solar e hidrato mi rostro. Soy fanática del Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer de Nars (tono: Greenland), porque además de ser un  humectante y tener bloqueador solar (SPF 45), contiene un poco de color que ayuda a corregir cualquier imperfección en la piel. En el área de los ojos, utilizo la crema hidratante con bloqueador solar (SPF 35) de Elizabeth Arden. Para resaltar las mejillas y los labios me gusta usar uno de mis productos favoritos, el Benetint de Benefit Cosmetics.

Si quiero dar un poco extra en mi rutina, para abrir la mirada utilizo una mascara aprueba de agua, mi favorita recientemente es The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara de Maybelline. Por último, humecto mis labios y los protejo del sol con un bálsamo de la marca EOS. 

Before bathing in the sun: Antes de acostarme en la arena a tomar un baño de sol, aplico en todo mi cuerpo bloqueador solar. Mi preferido es Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration (SPF 30), y para el rostro Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Lotion (SPF 30).

After a swim: Después de nadar en el agua, mi cabello decide ponerse rebelde. Antes de dejarlo secar naturalmente, me gusta aplicar OGX Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum,  que ayuda a reparar las puntas abiertas, combate el 'frizz' y contiene proteínas de queratina de seda para reparar al instante el cabello seco, y One n Only Argan Oil Styling Cream, para hidratar, acondicionar y dar estilo al cabello. Por último, un poco de mousse que ayuda a lograr un estilo de cabello “beachy”.
