We Can Do It

A long time ago I read an article about the famous icon, Rosie the Riveter. A story of women fighting for the rights as well as their respect to have the same benefits as males, with so many racists in that time and sadly still in our present, Rosie the Riveter change our cultural world by representing the American women who worked in factories during World War II, many of whom worked in the manufacturing plants that produced munitions and war supplies. These women sometimes took entirely new jobs replacing the male workers who were in the military.

Today, Rosie the Riveter is commonly used as a symbol of feminism and women's economic power. By only reading the story I was so inspired to do a recreation of this cultural icon image.
