Goodbye New York

I am writing today from Manchester, UK, to catch up on what's been happening in my life since my last post. As I wrote before, I decided to move from New York after working and living there for almost a year, to start a new adventure in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My time in the Big Apple undoubtedly gave me unforgettable moments and beautiful friendships. I'll confess that I still miss my roommates, my daily routine and the New York lifestyle.

Hoy les escribo desde Manchester, Reino Unido, para contarles un poco de lo que ha estado aconteciendo en mi vida desde mi última publicación. Como les había comentado, decidí mudarme de Nueva York luego de trabajar y vivir allí por casi un año, para comenzar una nueva aventura en Filadelfia, Pensilvania. Mi tiempo en la Gran Manzana sin duda me brindo momentos inolvidables y hermosas amistades. Les confieso que extraño a mis compañeras, mi rutina diaria y el estilo de vida Neoyorquino.

Changes at the beginning can be uncomfortable and doubtful, but for me, this move was the opposite. I have enjoyed how well everything has fallen into place without much effort. I found my ideal apartment and I work in one of the most exciting international airports in the United States. I feel very comfortable and I can finally say "I am home."

I was lucky to be assigned Manchester as my first flight, on the first day of work on my new base; something totally unexpected. Thank God I packed a coat in my suitcase, which is keeping me warm enough while I finish writing these words.

Los cambios al principio pueden ser incomodos y dudosos, pero para mi esta mudanza fue todo lo contrario. Me he disfrutado lo bien que todo ha caído en su lugar sin mucho esfuerzo. Encontré mi apartamento ideal y trabajo en uno de los aeropuertos internacionales más emocionantes de Estados Unidos, me siento muy a gusto y por fin puedo decir “estoy en casa.”

Tuve la suerte de que me asignaran Manchester como mi primer vuelo, en el primer día de trabajo en mi nueva base; algo totalmente inesperado. Gracias a Dios había empacado un buen abrigo en mi maleta, el cual me mantiene lo suficientemente caliente mientras termino de escribir estas palabras.

Soon I will continue writing and sharing about the upcoming destinations I'll visit. Meanwhile, enjoy some of the pictures taken in my last hangout in the city. See you later New York! X.
